Latest Injury .....

Once again my heart is bigger than my brain……
The idiot in the back road let his dogs out yet again on the weekend …….
Two stunning Dobermans, well I thought they were stunning until now…..
They ran into a neighboring holding and grabbed a bunny.
They came running out looking really chuffed, and then dropped the bunny, which dashed across the road.... it was still alive....

When I saw the dogs running with it in there mouths I took off after them to get what I thought was now a dead animal away from them, ran even faster when I saw the bunny was alive. Well I just happened to be sprinting barefoot….. and not looking exactly where I was going…….
I didn’t see the dead tree stump sticking out the ground……. I felt it!!!
I took me out before I could wind up and kick the dog……
So I didn’t get to kick the dog, but my scream and uttering of obscene profanities scared the hell out of them though!
Even though I was leaking enough blood to make any vampire drool, I saved Rocky……

Rather chuffed about the fact that I saved the bunny I limped home, leaving a trail behind me!!!
It is now day four after the initial injury, and I can just about bend my toe!! Still struggle to walk and wear shoes, but hey its all in a days work and Rocky survived to hop around for a few more days!!!!

Taxi's

I am sure you have all had your run ins with taxi’s, but I hate them so much.
Maybe we should get a flippen squashing machine and park it on the side of the road and as they drive past, pull them over and squash the life out of the dam things!!!!!
I nearly crashed the other day when a taxi used its indicator………… yes an indicator….!!!
I mean normally you have to use your psychic powers to figure out whether or not they are going to change lanes, stop or ride over the pavement.
Yes yes yes the pavement………. Heaven forbid a person walks on the pavement, because that in actual fact is the Taxi lane. You see us mere mortals cannot see the specially marked signs stipulating this.. only taxi drivers can!
Just like they are the only ones that see the special sign at the robots that says, “Red means cars stop, taxi’s you can go…”
The funniest thing I saw one day was this taxi driver pushing a broken down taxi………. He was thin and tiny………. And there were still passengers in the taxi!!! Big fat mammas!!!!
That was just too funny. The passengers won’t get out, because “they paid” and won’t get out unless there is another taxi waiting or they have gotten to their destination!!!
It always amazes me at how they all get into the taxi…. and then you find out how they fit 4 people in the front seat…. They take the steering wheel off and steer with a vice-grip!!!
I kid you not… a vice-grip.
And then you see a taxi lying on its roof and it turns out he couldn’t stop because his brakes got wet, because they were pieces of cardboard.
I have even seen a passenger with the petrol tank on her lap!!!!!
It really is a different experience driving with them all over the road, with that stupid idiot hanging out of the window shouting at the various objects walking on the side of the road.
I have had my mornings of playing “drive the taxi off the road” with fellow irate drivers down Potsdam Rd, and also kept them in the right lane when I know they want to get into the right lane, and hooted the hell out of them…….(not one of my finer moments!!)
The sticker on the back of my car doesn’t say “vrees vokol” (scared of nothing – translated in more polite English!!!!) for nothing!
Oh to be South African!!!

Stupid man in Morning Star

On boxing Day Cindy, my neighbor, got a call from Dennis, the tenant living on Morning Haven Holding, to say that the horses had not been fed for 3 days (he returned from his Christmas weekend), and that the feed room was locked. He called the police to inform them that he was going to break the door open to get some food for the horses.
Well surprise surprise there was hardly any food in there, well not enough for a decent feed anyways, but at least there was oat hay.
Dennis was a bit worried about giving them food after them being starved so he only gave them very little and then oat hay.
Only in the morning did we see that they also never had any water.
The water bowls were empty and green and one of them had a dead chicken in it.. yes a dead chicken that had obviously drowned a few days earlier.
Zinn had a severe eye infection, and Amy had a festering gash on her face going from her eye to her nostril. The other two horses were just starved.
While we were filling the water bowls – other water buckets since their current ones were so disgusting, the one horse was eating the other ones faeces. Yes you read right the other horses fresh poop.
How hungry were these horses that they had to eat faeces ??
I was so disgusted and appalled at the conditions that these horses were kept under.
The SPCA were there and prepared to take all four horses away, but then this dumb woman, who also happens to be living in a wendy house on the holding (yes a wendy house), called him to tell him the SPCA were there.
Well Evan has been in Morning Star since 22/12/06 but he got there within minutes!!!
When he got there and started his Bull S*#t.
I had to sit down in case I fell over laughing.
They were so “appalled” at the state of the farm……….. but they contradicted themselves over and over again about how they were there, and then this one was suppose to feed the horses and then that one called them everyday to say the horses were fed – which by the way is virtually impossible since he had the ONLY key that opened the feed room lock??!!! Mmmm how did ‘whoever’ get the food out of there – osmosis??
And then the story about poor Zins eye…….
Well firstly that was the first he had seen that her eye was infected.. then Debbie was cleaning it and called him everyday to tell him how it was (Debbie was on holiday with her husband Dennis………..?!)
Then it only got infected 2 days earlier, then why did he call Cindy a week previously saying the horses eye looks bad what should he do??
Why didn’t he call the vet like she told him to????
Wait I know why, cos he doesn’t pay the Vets so no one is willing to do anything for him.
But even though he diesn’t pay he didn’t even bother to call anyone, because he couldn’t say which vet he called. And besides that the SPCA is familiar with the Vets so they could always call and verify etc……
Then the dumb idiot goes on “litter patrol” that he does everyday…..(ha ha ha ha ha ha ha right )
And picks up broken glass, that “wasn’t there yesterday”…. The litter was already faded from being in the sun…. for one day!!! Oh hello do we all have idiot written on our foreheads?
Then it was agreed that Zin would be taken away for emergency treatment and he was given written warnings and ultimatums.
Well have you ever tried to box a horse that can only see out of one eye.. wait wait have you ever boxed a horse……….. mission impossible. If that horse doesn’t want to go IT WON’T. Now try when it only has one eye, is in pain and is hungry and dehydrated…………….
Oh then Evan says :let me get some food to get her into the box…”
Well besides us falling over from shock with him saying there is food, then bursting out laughing when Evans wife tells him to bring a bucket of food………
Evan came out with less than a handful of food and then says: this is all that I could find…….
So yet again the horses went without food……………………………………..
Oh then all of a sudden the food was being delivered the next morning….. sure sure likely story!!
The food is always coming!!!!
Well with a lot of effort and hands we got Zinn into the horse box, and sent her off to the SPCA to get her eye sorted……….
The result of the cause of her infection was what made everyone really angry.
Zinn had a piece of oat hay in her eye and that may result in the loss of sight in that eye.
If that arrogant pig had gotten the vet out, then it wouldn’t have caused all the damage it did.
Well at least now the SPCA has been keeping a close eye on him and hopefully those horses will not be forced to eat poop again…. We can’t say much about them hearing the crap coming out of Evans mouth though

Shame on you Evan Arons….. shame on you.

The Toilet Roll Holder

This must be one of sciences most complicated inventions...........

Women have grasped the whole concept of squeezing two points together remove, swop,

re-insert.....

but Men....... must be the whole inability to multi-task thing!!!

My man is physically incapable of swopping an empty roll for a new roll and just leaves the

roll wherever he decides to on that day!!

All those woman out there who everytime they get to the loo and notice the lack of toilet paper where the toilet paper should be, and then mutter a bunch of fowl words at how irritating it is....... YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!!!

Well I have been dying to get this photoshop for a while now and just refused point blank to pay up to 6 thousand rand for it...

But I eventually accquired a copy of one of the elements and am more than happy to start photo-shopping!!!!!!

Morning Star Nights

This was taken one evening in December. The sky was just absolutely amazing, adn the clouds were so thick and pictureisque.

It started raining and there was a bit of thunder and lightning.

As usual Cindy and I stood like "aape" watching for the next bit of lighning. Us Capies are in absolute awe of lightning since it hardly ever happens here!!

Swimming

Took Tamsin to Fish Hoek to my Aunts House and let her swim "kalgat"!!!!

Excuse the 'vice-grip' grannie holding her so tight, but you know how grannies are!!!!

So who has broken their new years resolutions already??
I haven't, mine I made sure was one of those "try" resolutions.....
so if you do manage to "fall of the rails" it is easy to just recover!!!
Christmas has come and gone, and left me with alot more than I bargained for....
some more fat!!!!!!
So that just means working harder at the gym this year - hee hee hee right!!!!!
I will try and get this article about the SPCA and Evan done and posted... as well as the photos I have taken.
So I hope that this year I wil be more entertaining and keep those pics and stories coming!!
